Public Health nursing staff are here to help you with your pregnancy and childbirth questions and plans. Our staff can offer you many great resources to help you through pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding your baby. Be sure to contact Public Health staff if you have questions.

Follow up and education when a pregnant women or her baby is at risk for complications. Examples include;
- History of previous complications
- Lack of family resources
- Alcohol, tobacco or drug use
- Family violence
- Lack of prenatal care
- Age (either under 18 or over 35)
Moms' Mental Health Matters
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a Moms' Mental Health Matters initiative designed to educate consumers and health care providers about who is at risk for depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy, the signs of these problems, and how to get help.
