Immunizations

Immunizations are an important part of staying healthy.  They are an effective way to protect you from infectious diseases.  They teach your body’s immune system to recognize and defend against some viruses like COVID-19, Influenza or Measles and some bacteria like Tetanus, Diphtheria or Pertussis (Whooping Cough).

Influenza vaccination
A yearly Flu shot is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older.  Especially for those 65 and older, young children, pregnant women, those with chronic health conditions including diabetes, asthma and heart disease, and American Indians and Alaska Natives.

COVID vaccination
COVID Vaccination is recommended for all people 6 months of age and older. Especially for people with underlying medical conditions; people who have had COVID-19, are pregnant, or are immunocompromised.

Immunizations are offered for free through the Minnesota Vaccines for Children Program for children 18 years old and younger. 

We ask a $10.00 administration fee per vaccination provided. 

No one is denied for inability to pay.

 

Vaccinations are available:

Clearwater County: 
Vaccinations are available every Thursday from 2-4pm.  Walk ins during this time are welcome but calls to make an appointment are appreciated.

Hubbard County: 
CHI St. Joseph’s Community Health in Park Rapids offers COVID vaccinations every Tuesday from 9am-11am.  They also offer limited adult vaccinations the first Thursday of every month from 1-3pm.

Lake of the Woods County:
CHI Lakewood Public Health in Baudette offers Influenza and COVID vaccinations by appointment.
